We believe that everyone has unique, God-given gifts. Those gifts were given to serve humanity. At Divine Fava’ Ministries we hone in on gifts related to the Arts (e.g. writing, music, filmmaking, etc.) We desire to develop programs that prepare youths and adults to use those gifts to sustain themselves and to be of service to others.
Meet Our Founder
William H. Stokes is an author, poet, and filmmaker. He has been passionate about writing since a young child. His mother often reminds him that he used to write her poetry, letters and short stories. William enjoyed writing all throughout high school. It just seemed to come natural to him. In college he went a different direction when he majored in Computer Science. After graduation he temporarily worked in the IT field, but was discontent. He left that field and life led him through various career paths, trials, tribulations and life experiences. Many of those experiences seemed to be negative however William has been able to use those experiences as inspirations for his works of art.
In 2004 William decided to get serious about his spiritual walk, and felt the need to use his gift for writing to serve others. It was at this time that he took on the artist name “Quiet Storm” and began doing Christian/Inspirational Hip-hop. He released one underground album “The Holy Bible S.I.V. (Street International Version) and two national projects (Soul Medicine – 2009, and New Negro Spirituals – 2013.) He then went on to release his first poetry book “Urban Inspiration” in 2016, then a motivational book “In It For A Minute” in 2018. His most recent project is a full length Christian film entitled “The Last Dime.” William is the main writer of the story that teamed up with a lifelong friend Marlon Adams and his wife Enisha Adams (MEA Entertainment) to produce this film. He was blessed to film the movie in his hometown Orangeburg, SC. The film was released at his college alma mater South Carolina State University.
William continues to use his passion for the arts to serve others and his community. His heart is to see people that are gifted in the arts to find ways to express themselves and have a positive impact on humanity.
